SWG Champion's Sword

Post by CodaRez »

Always thought there were not so many melee weapons in BF2. Especially not GCW era ones. Well, I got one that may fix that.

Here on a pedestal to GT once more, is the:

Well it doesn't have a major description. Maybe it could be an "elite-used" kinda blade? You be the judge. (my character had it for awhile, so I decided "homage")

Envmap has been added to the blade, to give it more realism(Champion's Sword must shine, right? 8) )

.odf included, PLEASE read the readme on specific instructions of using all this.

And, well, what are u expecting else other than:

Enjoy! :atatpilot:

Wow, nice work!
8)

I read the readme and I was wondering if I could:
leave out the combo part, because swbf 1 (which I would like to use it for) does not support combos.
Thanks for the great model

Sry that was a pain, and I believe the Vibro wasn't aligned as well?

You need not notice from so far away anyway, so I guess I'll leave it.

Thnx for comments!

But why leave it when you can fix it up in less than ten minutes and have a near perfect product instead of one that is just barely passing?

To line up saber type models, rotate the model about the dummyroot 30% so that the front edge moves forward, idk if that's - or + rotation, then move the firepoint to it new location and rotate Back 60 degrees

Barely Passing Huh? I'll ignore that comment for now.

But fine, perfection yes, but aligning MELEE weapons is harder than the normal blasters we all love. TEN minutes is not what I would describe it as. Just giving my opinion as the guy who actually tried to make it.

But thnx to kine's 30% advice, rotating by 30 was quite accurate.

So(bet u weren't expecting this) I DID correct the handle. The trooper now holds it better now.

May have to warn that the blade is quite low now, actually, you will see later. It was alrdy at an angle from the start(apply a texture to the blade an you will get my gist)

But anyway, first post updated with properly handled hp_grip.

Sry 3 guys who DLed, enjoy! :maulsaber:

its no problem to allign meeleweapons properly, just convert the shipped saber to obj, import it in your weaponscene then you have an exact reference for the rotation
