A poll has been setup for those who would like to give feedback on changes to the Conversion pack. Here is a snippet of the current map pack ideas. The Convo Pack was originally built so that everyone would want it, so then there would be enough interest to have it on dedicated servers and play online. We've done that, but now the community focus has shifted. Having lots of big mods out there means you can't have many of those installed plus your favorite maps without going over the 500 mission limit that's in the game. For that reason, and for reasons of making it more stable online and in single player we're THINKING  about updating the pack based on community consensus and what we feel is right on the whole. Please let us know your opinion, and pass the word around in other SWBF communities. We want to know how the whole SWBF2 community feels - not just Gametoast.

Pic of the day has not been updated recently so I set it up so that its just random star wars pictures until I locate a decent upload/auto pic of the day script that works with joomla (our frontend cms software). If your experiencing login issues on the site please pm me in the forums and Ill check your site permissions, seems recently a few people have had login errors due to some backend changes. F is also for the rating Cryptic Studios has received from the Better business Online for reports of hordes of customers wanting money back or major concerns with regard to the recent MMO release Star Trek Online. Broken quests, stuck characters, pre-order items that require 5 steps and it seems only the addicted few actually know the recipe for success on getting these "deluxe" items. maybe the fanbois knows something everyone else doesn't?

Some of the largest issues were no crafting, broken missions that display the "you win" message right when you start, players  stuck, 3 classes and 2 races ,stats dont effect anything, typos everywhere, no manual at all.
    It seems lag is something players expect but ships that disappear and empty quest boxes aren't good news for this company and the future of its gaming audience. Many who prepaid for lifetime subscriptions are scammering to get money back as trouble tickets in game are now reaching days, not hours, to even get a canned reply from a not so interested tech support staff.

 Are all the gms playing betas of Old Republic?

 We at gametoast dont know but from the reports on the forums for steam and the official forums for STO we give this title a 50 out of 100 as it seems half of you , paying $15 a month and $59 to buy the game are actually enjoying it , the rest it seems are running to truly "go where no man has gone before....away from another crappy MMO and a wasted license from a Major SciFi cult"

A true Dont buy it as it is today title so be warned!

With the New Year comes the delight of new game titles for Pc and the console systems...hopes of what may come and recent hits like Dragon Age Origins and updated Diablo 3 progress have kept the end of 2009 full of gaming hype.

 Star Trek Online promises to show us everything we have wanted and hopefully more then we could expect from a licensed Space MMO. Will Star Wars Old republic offer the same interesting quests and replayability and in the new MMos wake will Star Wars Galaxies be left dry of players? Time shall tell but it will take alot of content and depth to scare off 6 year veterans of the  SWG into a new game! We are looking to welcome more games to Gametoast and thousands of new forum guests in the New Year. Its time to shine some light on this groundpounder map from rends, our local modding vet with 3 years in the creation on this map alone , the best true to movie release of any Tatooine based maps for Star Wars BF2. Featuring Dewbacks, At-St props, new mods, new rodian locals, and so much more. Its based on everyones favorite dusty planet and boasts alot of "live" feelings like active visitors to the famous cantina and even improved sound for the landspeeder. Some beta testers mention how cool it is to see the locals walking around and some non armoured vehicles while others just scream 'masterpiece visually and gameplay-wise'. The energy is electric and fun, like a wild casino night out...and it's drawing more and more people to it.This could breath new life into mp play once the hosting abilities of the map are set. There are of course still some final bugs to work out but overall this map is getting a 8.5 rating pre launch for its ability to hit "a new hope" right on the bantha bumper!
