I'm pretty ticked that they won't make the 'hog drivable in Forza 4. Why include it at all otherwise? It's nothing more than concept art and a rude tease, cuz everyone wants to drive it on tracks. Who cares if it's slow as molasses? It'd still be fun to have a Warthog race around the Nurburgring.

Can't say I'm surprised that Prisoner was revealed as one of the new maps. It's always been the best map for the original game. I'm bummed the firefight won't include the flood, but then again it's not like you can fit all the flood AI and whatnot into a 4MB maximum title update. I'm sure it'll still be fun.

In regards to Reach proper I'm not a big fan of what they're doing to armor lock, but I can't say it isn't merited. Being able to have the magnum in any Reach playlist is also cool. I wonder if the new helmet will be unlocked somehow too. I could see one new helmet and a new weapon fitting into the size of the title update.

I have some gripes about the title update.
1: I'm not sure if I like the way armor lock is changing. I think they should just make it so your shields can't recharge until at least a second after you leave armor lock.
2: Sword-blocking without a sword should, imo, be configurable, if they change it at all. It took considerable skill to do in the first place, so I don't see why it needs to be changed.
3: I'm glad they're bringing the H1 pistol back, but are they replacing the Reach pistol with it? If so, then boo. I like the Reach pistol, since I like the faster fire rate. If they just put in a new weapon, though, I'm good.

NOOOOOOO not my Armour Lock :'( I think they should have made it so a fully charged Plasma pstol would kick a player out of armour lock.
Also why are they decreasing Active Camo's length it seemed underused to me.

You can last soooo long in camo. However, I think they should also make Active Camo work like the powerup in Halo 3, as in you could be nearly completely invisible while crouching, to go along with cutting the length.

As I've played the game enough to be a Mythic (almost Noble) I'm very, very glad that Armor Lock is being changed to the new settings. I'm sorry, but if I just brought you down to no shields with a DMR because you stupidly walked out into the open without a teammate then you should be dead, not be able to be invincible for ten seconds while you wait for another teammate to bail you out and/or regain shields and composure. It's meant to be an ability that stops powerful weapons and vehicles for a short time, not an invincibility powerup. Oh, and this stops that annoying glitch where people go in and out of lock to punch you twice because you can drain their armor lock by punching it now.

Sword block with all weapons sucked. It was cool when it was just sword vs. sword, but now anyone even looking at you can do it and it makes the sword a lot less powerful than it should be. Do they have Shotgun block? No? Then treat the Sword the same way and you won't get killed by it.

CE Pistol is for Classic only, although if they can adjust this weapon with the TU that means they can do the same with others in other playlists. If anything, it'll probably mean the regular Reach Pistol now lacks bloom, which is good because it's a CQC weapon.

I can deal with Active Camo losing some duration, as it stands you can walk from base to base on Anchor 9 with it running, so a little time cut will balance it a little more and prevent super campers (even though I can find them anyway, they're at the center of the dot circle).

Also, bloom being gone makes me very happy, because bloom is incredibly host dependent and in worst case scenarios can have you shooting up at a 45 degree angle. I shouldn't have to "pace my shots" while the other guy can just spam the trigger and get a kill. Hopefully though, this stays out of BTB because the DMR on Hemorrhage would be the most broken weapon ever.

Yeah, they totally screwed up and released the vid early. For those who didn't see it, it's the exact same setting as the first Headlong but the buildings and textures (minus the ground) are changed to reflect ODST. The Superintendent is on a giant screen near the crane and back wall.



Found one, watch before it gets taken down.

Wow. Looks great, but yet like they literally took the geometry from the original level and reskinned it. Not that it's a bad thing, it just doesn't have the punch the other maps have.

Headlong is looking awesome. Superintendent is a bro.
Also, sword block on all weapons at least was hard to do, as I remember it. And also, I think I misunderstood the armor lock changes. Cuz to me it seemed like that you could take damage through it or something.

I know this may seem like a stupid question but when will this game be coming out? I thought I heard at first that the date was set for September 15th which would be this coming Thursday and so I went ahead and pre-ordered my copy but then it says it won't get released until November 15th. Did 343 push back its original release date?

Always been November 15th. They wanted it out on the same day the original released.
