Any chance we'll be seeing the M7 submachine gun mentioned in the books frequently do you think?

I dunno, but I certainly hope they don't take out the SMG - I always loved that weapon, especially the M7S from ODST.

Incidentally, this has already been said, but the crosshairs look awesome.

Looking forward to the game. I'm practically giddy as a schoolgirl over the redesigned Covenant. I hope Theater mode will be intact, I'm dying to get a close-up look of the bigger action scenes they're bragging about.

If you watch the VidDoc they show in a pre-alpha build that they are capable of having the large number of AI.

Also, I've been thinking. Reach apparently has a pistol, it shows up in the ViDoc. And based on its use in said ViDoc, as well as its 2x scope, I think it's going to be a pistol in the style of Halo 1's. I furthermore think they might take dual-wielding out of Reach; ODST proved it isn't necessary, heh. And lastly, I'm guessing this pistol will have eight rounds per magazine so it doesn't step on the toes of the 12-round DMR. Conclusion? If I'm right on all counts, which I might not be, this pistol could conceivably be (shot-for-shot) even more powerful than Halo 1's legendary M6D pistol.

Yeah, Reach looks amazing. Bungie needs to make it on PC.

I'm pretty sure all the gameplay in that interview is in the ViDoc. But the fact that you play as teh same spartan in campaign and MP? That's epic.

And that 4 player coop and splitscreen coop (I assume 2 player) is possible seals the deal (even though it was already a day 1 buy).

I kindof wish it was 4 player splitscreen, but defidentally a pre-order for me.

I remember on the weekly updates someone asking a question about the max coop, and the answer implied it would be larger than 4 (there are 6 main Spartan characters...)

That would be just awsome.

Yeah, if there's six player coop total then that'll make playing campaign almost, if not more fun than, the standard deatmatch+variants multiplayer.

I'm curious to see if bots will be implemented in matchmaking and if bots will become part of forge. If the AI is sophisticated enough I'd like to be able to make game modes based on them.

Bots would be awesome. That's been the only majorly lacking thing for me in the series. I usually play online, but it'd be nice to have bots when I take my 360 over to a friend's house and I can't connect to Xbox Live for whatever reason.

agreed. Besides, it'd be nice to be able to make your own firefight maps, although I'm sure a lot of people would make maps that involve really cheap stuff.

In recent articles they have been talking about Multiplayer maps being made and then brought in to be used as small parts of bigger campaign levels. Then they probably would be outfitted with AI paths and the like. Maybe the default Multiplayer maps will be used in Firefight and (this is a HUGE stretch) maybe allow bot play locally? Maybe these bots would use the names that are given as placeholder names for extra controllers locally, like the names Tangerine and Caboose? (Just as examples.)

I would also love it if they brought this into forge. It would be completely optional, but you could add very simple pathing for your maps. I have always found trouble testing my forge maps, because my friends list is mainly composed of (RL) friends that are only interested in playing COD.

Also, did you guys listen to the announcer sound clips in the latest Weekly Update? "Cool Spawn Bro!" and "Yooouuu Ssssuucckk" were my favorites :lol:
