Does the DMI have a hotel yet?
If not, I've got some work started on a lobby for one.
Although, my fail texturing ruins it. Ugh.

Just wondering if there are any spare lots left still, as i've decided to make a lot. I've just about finished modelling the lower of 3 levels(fairly simple mind you). I may not finish it, and i won't make any promises till i'm fairly far in, but i'd like to know if there're any spare first

Erm... not really sure how much longer mine will be...
Though, honestly, a deadline REALLY helps me stay on task
So I'll send it along when I'm done

I know there's no claims or anything but I have a lot that will be ready for submission soon. One quickie question:

How many vehicle repair areas will there be? I'm deciding if I want a repair pad and the only shop I've seen is only big enough for speeders.

Well I've got the interior of my model just about done, i just need to texture it and add in the props....

EDIT: Is the prop limit still at 25 or can we do more then that? 25 seems awfully low for a large building.....

If you create the whole building/the props inside it in a 3D program you can place them in it and export multiple props in one .msh.

I was planning on using other people's released assets.......Are we allowed to use their assets like that? and would the textures stay on them if i imported them into my model?

I've just been catching up on the GameToast hosted mods, and am pretty intrigued by this, I was wondering: How complex/fancy do any new models and things have to be? And how long has it taken you guys who have made lots?

It looks to me like it's a city-life esque mod, restaurants, hotels, etc. I'd like to try whatever is missing (or low in count) but I can't promise anything since I'm slow and sometimes when I think I'm making a good model it just doesn't turn out.

Depends if you are trying to submit something to Rep to be a public building. I don't know if you would be able to, but it would have to be decent. You're lot can be as fancy as you want it to be.

Well for me personally, it only took me four days working on and off, but I mainly used stock assets and the assets found in Rep's DMI Prefab Pack (http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 64&t=14474). Nothing too fancy. :)

Well, I may assemble something quick if I want a gap In between what I'm working on now, and what I hope to be working on shortly, but right now I'm not planning on anything so don't hold your breath for anything from me.

I'm back, and remember deadline is this weekend!

DMI probably won't have all the cool things we talked about, but it will at least exist and have people that you can be and walk around and stuff. I will try to add some sort of level up system, but in the event that it just keeps crashing and not working, I may just have to start sacrificing features in order to get it out the door.

I intend to somehow upload the source though, so that if anyone wishes they can continue to work on it. I've been holding the baton long enough though, and my legs are giving out, haha.
