FragMe!'s ATPT

Whilst waiting for the file to wend it's way though at SWBFFILES (no hurry guys) here is a temporary link to the Side release of my ATPT.
This took a long time to make and it is all original, model, animations and tga files so for now it is just being release as a side to put in your maps side addon folder. Did that make sense I hope so.
I may release the unmunged version at a later date but not for a while.
Teancum
If you need an unmunged version to get into the Xbox mod I would provide that for you.
ATPT Download
ATPT Download Star Wars Battlefront files
Unmunged ATPT
Oh and a few operating instructions as it were, turret guns will pivot side to side and up and down but will only shoot within a certain range. That means you can't be walking forward and shoot out the side of the ATPT. The mortar launcher will only shoot straight although you can vary the range by tilting up and down. This is done for a reason, look at front shot on picture it can't move side to side.
Happy Hunting
Edit: The unmunged side is now available. Please try to refrain from drasically editing things but if you do remember give credit where credit is due.

Some pics so you don't have to go hunting back though the Showcase topic.

Brilliant! This is one of those things that people have been waiting literally years for. Nicely done. If I jump back into the Xbox mod I'll definitely PM you.

I guess I should say, if anyone was interested, it is the 70% scaled version in the release.
The middle one in the pic
Intersting side note, chunks don't like to be scaled, crashes the map or it did for me, had to scale them in XSI.

YAY 70% one!
Offtopic: I have scaled chunks before
I suggest you never release the whole unmunged files, but the odfs would be nice, so we can change the parameters and have them use the munged files as a parent. That way we can edit the weapons and such, and the model and textures are unreleased. I think that's a win/win.

Why not?
Also, YAY! AT-PT!
And for my third ever use of this...
I do not give out

s lightly, and you just got two.
EDIT: That's comments down, so now I need criticism, flames and jawas.
Criticism, I honestly can think of nothing. The nearest thing I have is a bizarre desire to make the lasers blue in Clone Wars.
As for Flames and Jawas, hopefully this will suffice.

Why not?

Like most good modders, FragMe! is proud of his work, and should be. If he is uncomfortable putting the unmunged files in noob hands, than that it his right. He should not do something because a lot of people want it, he should do something because he is comfortable with it.

Not what you said. You said he should never release the unmunged mesh and texture files, which would prevent any reskins or rescales and necessitate multiple sides for anyone wanting to make ODF changes.
putting the unmunged files in noob hands
What's the worst that could happen?
*imagines 5,000 foot AT-PT with scribbles on it* *shudders*
On a more serious note, I understand wanting to the the model and ODFs used as they are for the moment without alteration. But never releasing the assets? I don't understand the motivation for that.
Is this the point where someone says "Moving swiftly on?"

I made no contradictions to what I said at all. I suggested he never release the model and texture because obviously he is uncomfortable doing so.

Odf maybe.
As for the assets, the decision for that stems from finding the msh files for the ATAP that I made on someone's Sketchup model site being flogged as his own.
But enough of that, looks good on something other than my test maps, glad too see.
From what I can see the lighting and specular looks nice to.
Have you seen the death anim yet? What do you think.

The ODFs are all I ever ask you release.
Ah, abdyla, your our fiendly* neighborhood model thief.
I love the death anim personally.
*Fiendly is my own copyrighted word. It means what you think.

With an override texture line.
As for the model thieves, you could always do a password protected release where you have to be PMed for the password. Provided you don't mind being swamped in PMs.
