Nothing is ever actually freeware. Normal people decree it so, but companies never do.asdfjkl wrote:IIRC SWG was recently declared freeware?

Just a query. Given the quality is lower than SWBF/SWBFII (with one exception), would Elite Squadron/Renegade Squadron be an exception or should we keep those models off here for the time being? I've had a talk with Rebellion regarding possible asset use before and they said that as everything was brought to them (from FR's SWBFIII) they own nothing and that would all sit with LucasArts.
Well, I actually tried to use Ninja Ripper to do just that, but the UVs are screwed up and Ninja Ripper rips the levels into tiny pieces, and usually only what's on the screen, which is not handy at all. At the moment, I have just kept it to ripping character models such as the X1 and X2 models from the title.Teancum wrote:ggctuk wrote:OkayI'll have a look into other games released in the same period of similar quality/platforms.

J don't see an issue with it. The PSP is a dead platform now as well. In fact I've thought about using an emulator and a 3D ripping program to rip and remake the levels but I don't know how that would turn out. Plus most of those maps were pretty bad.
