Forces Of Corruption Expansion

Post by Lead_Pilot »

So for those of you who got the expansion (if anyone ), what do you think of it? I think it was really great addition to the game, but there are some underhanded, cheap tactics that SHOULD have been left out.

Let me start with corruption: for what you can do, it's waaayyy to cheap to buy. You can destroy buildings on a planet while you have it corrupted, bribe your way past it, and other things. It cost roughly 2,000, including the cost of a defiler and for the cost of corruption. There are different types of corruption. But, it cost roughly 1,500 to uncorrupt your planet, and considering only certain heroes can do it, it's really annoying.

The starviper squadrons are very overpowered, and the whole constortion (not going to bother trying to spell it ) is as well. If you build the death star, and have your whole fleet with it at Courscant, Ig-88, for roughly 35,000 can take over your death star, destroy any ships over the planet, the station, your planet, and ultimatley the death star itself, permenatley removing it and ig-88 from play. Very cheap if you ask me.

If you do manage to get the 2nd death star and executor in the battle at the same time, you could be guranteed victory. The death star has a very powerfull energy blast that is so powerfull it can destroy a level 5 station in one shot. It reloads approximatley every 30 seconds, so you can imagine how quickly capital ships can go  . It takes 60 seconds to reach the planet, than you can blow it up. The death star only uses it's superlaser, and doesn't use smaller ones.

Darktroopers are pretty good, so are the new rancor units for the constortion.

I really hope for a clone wars expansion, or even another one for that matter. It really could happen. BTW, they have a list of balance issues at the petroglph forums, and a patch with an updated map editor on the way.

I think its fun. Corruption faction is a bit overpowered though. I hope they get a patch or two out.

You have to remember the consortium units cost more than the other factions and don't come with special abilities right off the bat. I can't believe niether one of you have said anything about Vader's voice on the Executor. He sounds like some random guy talking into a darth vader voice changer. Although it has alot of bugs I still like it.
