Just a thought... Evolution/Race Mod

Hmm, well looking at the empire at war info, seeing all the races. Mon Cal, Human, Jawa, things like that. It gave me an idea, what if you could expand the resources and factions for EAW? and better yet you can start at the forming of each of the races in star wars. Example, you start out as the mon cal and have to use the resources on your planet to advance up your technology. Resources i'm not all that sure about, but it would add some strategy to conquest(like if you needed something from a certain planet to make a weapon, massive battle insues to control it). In this stage your basically picking what your military and technology will be based on(example, you base a lot in engine design, so you get special bonuses early on). Then, when you get space travel, you can start colonizing planets, soon enough come upon other races(players) and either duke it out or join in alliance. Best part would be you wouldn't have to start with some 20 races, just start with one and keep adding to the mod.
An example of how a game might turn out, you start out as the Geonosians, work your way off the planet, make alliances with the sullustans and jawas, and then whipe out the trandos and ryloth in a long drawn out war. One other neat thing about this mod is you could have alliances in a way where you inherit technology. Say you are playing human, and your basically following in the tech footsteps of the rebels. You make an alliance with the mon cal, and if they have the moncal cruiser, then you can inherit it for your use(temporarily, so if the mon cal declare war on you, then no more cruiser).
Extensive idea, but its something to think on. I'm not sure what is feasible, so probably a lot would have to be compromised. Would be quite interesting to play though.
