EAW Demo mod bug solution + ideas

I have noticed in some mods that a planet is uncaptureal after both space and land battles have been won. After some observations I noticed while occupiing the planet i looked at the imperial ground forces and every time it's either the SMPHAT of the Imperial AA walker. Both of these have no coding for actual use in gameplay and appear only as icons. they need to be removed from the demo completly so there is less crashing and bugs. Space battles need to be more varied without asteroids and nebula. And what is up with some of the imperial space forces? I destoyed about 80 transport shuttles and that was all they had. Arrrggghhhh. Make the mods better and more variety. its just Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids Ryloth and vergesso asteroids. i think you get my point. :D So are my ideas good or do i need to stop being a no0b and learn to mod. :wink:

well, your ideas are good, if fairly obvious. and, yes, you need to learn to mod ;)

about the non-capturable planets, the only thing i can think of is that some people were just so excited they got them ingame they didn't test it thoroughly or at all. and with the mod crashings when you attack a planet that doesn't exist or with units that don't exist, well, i guess they just got lazy.

and someone has made modifications to the maps, removing the nebula and majority of the asteroids.

I will probably add 3 new land maps before the full version is out but then again don’t know if it is worth it since the full version is out in about 2 weeks.

Another thing is the mod that unlock every planet and its just the same thing over and over. It should be 10 planets max but very hard so it takes a while to capture them all.

thats why you need the full version :D

or you can just not play every planet...just play until you get bored...



oh, and also, in my second demo mod (rise of the rebellion, here), which is a space only mod (i also found ground battle repetitive), i added in those maps i mentioned in my other post, as well as some significant starting forces for the imps.
