Any news on a clone war expansion or is that most likely -

a. be a sequal

or

b. not happen


At this moment in time I prefer the prequel trilogy due to it still being reletively new. I guess im just overfamiliar with tie fighters etc . So , Id love to see a CW era version aswell.

Well I think it's too early for Petroglyph or LA to be planning a sequel much less announce anything officially or unofficially. Considering the relative unsuccess of Star Wars RTS' in the past, they may wait to see just how well it does and how much money is made off of it. If they end up making alot of money they may make an expansion pack, however, knowing Lucasarts, they'll probably opt for a sequel instead.

Though I am getting tired of the CW in general, I think that this is one game where it shouldn't have been left out, I mean it was more army vs army action than the GCW. Though, Petroglyph's Idea of having different styles of play depending on the faction fits best with the GCW then the CW.

Well, the imperialassault mod is looking like the best chance of a CW campaign. If Petroglyph sticks by their statement that modders will be able to create their own campaign maps and placing custom planets whereever they wish we may be able to get by without an official release.

...dude, wait for the game to be released, THEN talk about a sequel/expansion...

releasing it as an expansion would be better - maybe 6 or so months after the original game is released maybe?

Of cause there will be a EWA2 with the clone wars (assuming EWA sells OK).

That's when they fix all bugs, improves the "Artificial Stupidity" module (AI) and generally creates how the game should have been from the beginning. Look for it around next X-mas.

The SWBF 2 story in other words.

It's just that it is more profitable to sell 2 games instead of just one. So why take the time, effort and money to make it great from the start?

We all know that the "dumb gamers" are going to buy it anyway, don't we?
