Yes, yes, YES! It's probably the most engaging RTS game I've played since Red Alert 2. No annoying resource management; just straight-up Star Wars action. The one thing that really made the game for me was just how intense it was. No, "Yes, m'lord." "Attacking." "Pew, pew." like in many strategy games- everything is urgent and dramatic. The animations are great too- a fight will never look the same twice. You'll need a decent rig, though.

I think it would be worth buying. Like TheTao said you need a nice rig but only if you want to have max graphics. The gameplay is awesome and online play pwns.

One question: would a comp that runs BF2 be able to run EAW?

Well, depends. If your computer can handle SWBF2 with no problems, generally speaking probably it would.

Oh, and should you get it? No question. If you like RTS games, and star wars, definatley reccomend it. If you loved star wars: galactic battlegrounds and star wars: force commander, then you will love Empire @ war. So yeah, if u like the screens and gameplay, you should get it.

Off-topic : Alright, car_gussy!, if I were you, I would exploit either Microsoft© Windows XP Game Advisor or System Requirements Laboratories® in order to determine whether Star Wars : Empire At War could be properly used on the Computer(s) the concerned Microsoft® ActiveX® Controls will be installed on, which will be probably more efficient than comparing this LucasArts video-game with Star Wars Battlefront II...

Staples sells office and school supplies. WalMart isnt really good. I suggest going to GameStop if there is one. (It might be only an American company though). U should be EAW at an electronic store.

Off-topic : As clearly precised by moncal' inside his last message, I guess you will have many more chances to get your hands down on Star Wars : Empire At War thanks to "Online Stores", such as Amazon.com, where you will be able to get the concerned LucasArts video-game for interesting Prices, as stated on this web-page...
