This was mainly created for a bunch of people on gamespot always asking for SSDs so i just threw one together once i learned XML editing(getting better by the minute you'll see)

New Version! This version actually has two hangers. More pulses per shot from the weapon systems. Two extra invisable weapons attached to hangers. Is Vader's ship. Can only have one per skirmish game but unfortunately unlimited for galactic conquest.

Rebals balanced with hangers for 3 of their ships spawning either a-wings, y-wings or x-wings. (Soon an extra weapon for x-wings and a-wings for total balance.

Enjoy, and remember it IS just an altered Venator but its not a playable unit usually either. So no flaming bout it not being an actual SSD cause that isn't possible yet.

This mod for Empire at War will add a capital ship unit called "Super Star Destroyer". The model is a Venator Class SD but its as close as possible. Also this mdo will add hanger bays to 2 of the Rebal units to balance. SSD has two hanger bays, 8 weapon systems (2 not visable) tractor beam, defend ability. Rebals are pretty balanced for some reason, even thought its pretty cheap.

You've prolly seens screens from former versions. And report to me some bugs.

3.0 was brocken ut noone cares anyway. Donno why i realease here too.

Off-topic : EmperorDonkey, as you seem to have learnt basis of Star Wars : Empire At War Modding, do you know if it would be possible to re-scale - Using the EXtensible Markup Language, or not - the Venator-class Star Destroyer model you've "altered" so as to make it resemble to a real Executor-class one ?

Well, I'm currentely working on a skin that will make it look a Fair bit more like the "Executor" Vader's falgship. Unfortunately I really suck at doing so, and it requires skinning through the XML.

Rescaling it to 19,000 game meters (19,000m said to be in movies) would make it not even possible to move. Also for realism, like I read its to have 5,000 turbolasers and other weapondary systems. However that would totally destroy Any Rebal craft that came within 10,000 game meters.

Thus I amped up the pulse counts, recharge times, and created all new Projectiles with damages that differ from any other ship. I'm adding new hardpoints as i seem to find more and more bones to attach on the model. And I will add more squadrons to its resurves.

Lastely balancing issues are a thing off the past due to the fact that I have added a B-Wing Squadron To the game (Anticapital in movies)

yeah, well ISD's are supposed to have 60 turbolaser and 60 ion s, VSDs are supposed to have like 80 conc missile launchers, so obviously even the standard game weapon counts aren't exactly "realistic". ;)

Actually i'm working on my own version of a "Realism" mod. Even though there already is like 10 in exsistance. And i'm gonna amp some counts up, for example wepaon systems count.

I think the whoever made the mod should edit it because the executor looks more like a giant Venator in plain gray colors. To make your mod more accurate here's a link:

Can't skin, or model till the mod tools come out. Well i can skin but im not buying photo shop at 600$ just for a stupid little mod.

Went there at beggining for size, weapons, ect. Size is as close as possible without makeing the ship unmoveable. Wepaons i did amp up. Also added more fighters and hangers, so you can't tell if its close till u play. This mod I passed to my aprentice that i tuaght on gamespot. He'll fix any problems from now on.

And I don't post them here anymore.

Off-topic : MandalorianGuard, as far as I can tell, none "Release Date" has been provided by Petroglyph Games regarding the upcoming availability of Star Wars : Empire At War "Modification Tools", but I would advise you to look at this web-site so as to be kept informed of all events related to this Star Wars video-game... :wink:

Well I have photoshop 6, but i absolutely suck at it. And there are free downloads, but that = virus and illegal. So, i guess you'll just have to wait for mod tools. I can help you research and find pics to help you make a better ssd.

Skinning isn't 100% worth it. The models still the same. And yeah, i have Photo Impact(not as powerful but PROLLY would work. Also alot cheaper :P )

I may never get into the modeling/skinning half. Theres always somone who needs help coding a mod, so you know.

Off-topic : EmperorDonkey, Corel© Paint Shop Pro X is currently as much "cheap" as Ulead® PhotoImpact 11 and has always been much more efficient than this last "Specialized" Software. So, if you've eventually planned on ordering a brand-new Photo Editing Program, be sure that Paint Shop Pro will entirely satisfy you, no matter whether you work on complex or "Time-requiring" Textures intended to Star Wars : Empire At War... :wink:

Well, if I get into MAKING my own BF2 maps. Instead of just mooching off others :P I'll most likely get a better program like Paint Shop Pro or Photo Shop.

But seeing as how i'll mostly only be making larger mods with s small team for EaW from now on. Since all of my "Mini-Mods" are mainly outdated, and or i passed on the rights. I'll prolly just see if one of the team members knows how to skin.

(hmm... Maybe I should post a request for people who are interested in helping, and then we can begin brainstorming)
