For me, I've watched the following films this month, all of which I watched for the first time (items in bold are REALLY good and a definite must-watch in my opinion):
-Au revoir les enfants (1987)
-Judgment at Nuremberg (1961)
-The Breakfast Club (1985)
-Boyhood (2014)
-Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
-Jaws 2 (1978)
-Divergent (2014)
-Poltergeist (1982)
-The Waters of Mars (2010)
-The End of Time (2010)
-Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills (1996)
-The Shining (1980)
-Full Metal Jacket (1987)
-Night of the Living Dead (1968)
-The Birds (1963)
I started to watch Stanley Kubrick's The Killing (1956) last night but got too tired to finish it so I'll likely finish it later. Later today/tonight I'm going to watch Psycho (1960) and then either Vertigo (1958) or The Omen (1976).
As for shows, I recently started watching Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014); I'm currently catching up on Archer (2009-), Doctor Who (2005-) (just finished up David Tennant! WAAAAAHHH! D:) and Law & Order (1990-2010); and I recently started re-watching Breaking Bad (2008-2013) with my younger cousin who hasn't yet seen it. I'm also finishing up Band of Brothers (2001) and 24 (2001-2010, 2014), and I'm excited for and ready to watch Sunday's season finale of The Leftovers (2014-).
Additionally, I showed the following to my younger cousins for their first time (bold thing applies here, too):
-Léon the Professional (1994)
-Jaws (1975)
-Alien (1979)
-Aliens (1986)
-The Terminator (1984)
-Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) (my personal favorite film of all time)
-Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
-Terminator Salvation (2009)
-2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
One could say that August has been a sort of "movie month" for me.

Obviously you don't have to go into this much depth as to what you've watched recently, but you can if you want of course.
