Battle Droids, Grievous w/Cape, Cmdr Neyo

Post by AceMastermind »

These are the raw source files for a couple of battledroids that I edited to remove the backpack, the original model is by Pandemic.
I also added the little communicator to the shoulder of the OOM-9 model.

These models were re-exported with their original skeletons, so they can be setup and used the same as the shipped battledroids.
You will have to create your own side with these files.

Contents:
OOM-9 battledroid (msh and texture) -the texture used was released by EGG GUTS, I touched it up a little more
Security droid (msh and texture)

Enjoy!

This is complete side for General Grievous with a cape.
I enveloped him to his original skeleton so he still uses his own animations and made the cape in XSI.

Note: You'll need to make a cape texture yourself since I removed it from this download due to the base being from RC.

Installation instructions:
Just place the geg folder in data_ABC/Side,
and if you haven't done so already, copy the Common folder from assets/sides to data_ABC/Side.

Then create a folder named GEG in data_ABC/_BUILD/Sides,
then copy the munge.bat and clean.bat from the ALL folder and paste them in the new GEG folder you created.

Then open your mission LUA and add this to it in the ReadDataFile section:

Code: Select all

ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\geg.lvl",
                       "cis_hero_grievous")
Don't forget to add him to the SetUpTeams section, you can make him a soldier or hero or whatever you want him to be.

Save and close the LUA

Then proceed to your Modtools VisualMunge.exe located in data_ABC/_BUILD
and munge with the default Common checked along with your geg side selected in the "Sides" dropdown list.

*NOTE:It may take a couple of minutes to munge the new grievous msh, just let VM do it's thing and when finished go play!

Enjoy!

This is a Commander Neyo kitbash I put together using NeoMarz (Mars Marshall) Clone Ultima Clone Commander Neyo helmet for the head and Pandemic's clone sniper for the rest of the body, the torso strap has been tweaked/edited a little by me, and I also added the little shoulder flap on the right shoulder trying to match the reference pics that I was going from.

The download contains only the raw source files, you will have to create your own side with these.

Enjoy!
