If there's another assist challenge, go into Team Snipers. If you miss the head but hit the body, stop firing, somebody will usually finish the kill for you and you'll get an assist.

This is why I don't like overcomplicating it all with ranks and medals and whatnot. In order to get challenges and the like you often have to cheapen your gameplay style.

I just get them that way because I don't exactly have the best aim in the world.


Oh, and the Jetpack challenge can die in a fire. I know you can get it by doing a quick jump, but that requires me to clutch the top part of the controller in a very uncomfortable hand position and hope that I timed it right.

At least I'm halfway there, 8/16 for Dedication/Time.

So Bungie.net says there are more achievements, but I haven't checked my 360 yet. I was almost done !

Anyway, here are the achievements-

Hidden/Spoiler:

Cross-Mappin'- 50g

Kill a player at long range with the DMR in a matchmade Slayer game.


Both Barrels- 50g

Earn a Double Kill with the shotgun in multiplayer Matchmaking.



Offensive Driver- 20g

Earn a kill in a matchmade Rocket Race game.



Poppin' & Lockin'- 25g

Destroy a vehicle using Armor Lock in a matchmade game.



You Ate All the Chips- 42g

Collect all of the flags in a matchmade Stockpile game.


You Blew It Up!- 13g

Blow up the research facility in a matchmade Invasion game on Breakpoint.


Totally Worth It- 50g

Earn a Double Kill from the Grave in multiplayer Matchmaking.

I hate luck-based achievements. I really do.

The way I see it, achievements should be some long task you set out to do, like Zombie Genocidest in Left 4 Dead. These tend to make me not want to get them because I've already gotten most of them. I got a Rocket Race kill, I got a double kill from the grave (actually three in one match, each one was sticky related), I destroy vehicles using Armor Lock all the time, so why do I have to do this again? At least they aren't all locked to DLC maps like the Halo 3 ones were.

Oh, and I'm glad none of the Reach achievements in general are connected to one playlist. Mongoose Mowdown was quite stupid, and Two for One can die in a fire that causes freezer burn and regular burn.

Oh, Two for One. Hardest achievement ever. Also the last achievement I needed to get all of the H3 ones
Also how the [Diet Dr. Pepper] do they expect people to get kills in rocket race?

Dude, I really hate assist challenges. They may seem easy, but they're not. I've only gotten like 13/25 and I think that's all I'm gonna get today.

I never thought I'd say this, but I recommend Elite Slayer for those. Plasma Pistoling makes them so easy.

Well I got 16/16. That boosted me back up to about 30000 cR after I spent everything on Gold Visor last night.

Now to just save up 180000 for the Mark V Shoulders and I'll be happy until I suddenly want to get Gungnir.

Dude, that's awesome. I so far only have 9/16 and that maybe all that I'm gonna get.

Today's challenges were pretty easy. I still haven't gotten 200 grunts killed yet and I don't think I will. I only feel sorry for all the Moa I killed today. lol

Today's challenges were pretty easy. I still haven't gotten 200 grunts killed yet and I don't think I will. I only feel sorry for all the Moa I killed today. lol

You wanna kill grunts? Play the Gruntpocalypse mode on Firefight a few times. There's easily 75 to 100 that'll spawn over the course of the game, then just rinse and repeat.

The Challenge had to be done in Campaign. It wasn't that bad, I got it in about 2.5 missions, it just takes time and gets annoying when the AI kill them first.

I am sooo close to getting the weekly challenge. I only have one more to get and I'm halfway done with it (72/125 players killed on multiplayer today).
