Does the 360 demo allow for coop on one machine? Having some buddies over for a game night this weekend and would like to try it out.

Yeah, Left 4 Dead 360 has Split Screen Co-Op if you have two systems, you can system link and have 4 players on two tvs.

IF you have the PC one, a few edits to game cfgs and console commands can enable Split Screen and use of 360 contollers. Plus if you have a Dual monitor setup you can use Span Mode and play split screen across two screens. Which will pretty much convert a PC into a Xbox, but without the un-patched Glitches.

(360 Version will have all glitches patched when the Spring DLC comes out)

So the 360 demo is just two player split screen, with the option to system link for four players, right? -or did I not read that right?

i dont even like zombie , resident evil games and I literally play L4d every night , get modded maps online *there are about 10 amazing ones out at l4dwiki map site.* Learn the versus mode and play with people that dont suck and its the best gaming thing ive come in contact with. If you join random servers online I could see how 98% of every game will be instadead with poeple running forward. Its a team game , id rather play with ai then screaming bratty kids online.

Yeah, this isn't an online-type game for me, that's why I was hoping for 2-4 player local coop. Meh, forget that. I'll try the demo out and see what we get from there. It'd probably never be a buy for me as I want to be the one charging into a situation, not having the enemy charge at me.

I found the demo online and was able to burn it to a disc. It was pretty fun, I gotta admit. The lack of 2 player split screen in the demo was pretty disappointing, as well as the lack of 4 player split screen period, as this is definitely a game that four buddies should play locally on a big screen and home theater. That being said I won't ever buy it, but it's still a pretty impressive game. The demo was fun, not creepy I-can't-sleep scary, but that fun "Oh holy crap!" scary, which is what I like.
