I haven't tired it but wouldn't the audio be extractable by

1. Extracting the rep.lvl

2. converting if there is a .bnk in it?

I'm pretty certain the LVL extractor doesn't extract audio stuff.

I am sorry to bother you with this old topic, but i try to extract the music of SWBF2 with audacity, anyone can help me please, or can give me the link if you already do it.

Yep i know this one, but Youtube have a poor crap quality. I search a WAV rip taken directly from the game :/
Or if someone can tell me how to do it. :)

BUT i can't do it with the french dialogs because the format is .lvl
Someone know how to rip the voices (french ones) ?

Still surprised no one has extracted the Temuera Morrison campaign quotes. Both from the journal entries and actual missions and the phrases said in normal space battles (Score one for the Republic).

I have a monster PC now(3090, R9 3950X), and the game on PC. All I need is the software and tutorials. I need these converted so I can use them for voice synthesizing Temuera's voice in order to create TCW quotes and EA's BF2 lines for a mod. I'm super close to my goal, but I need ya'll to speak. Where doth thou hidest the tutorials?

You'll not be able to use the journal entries - none of them are clean because they're stored in the FMV files and those are in stereo, with music and occasional SFX.

As for everything else, check BAD_AL's recent post, since it's got everything in it.

Oh yeah you're right but the journal entries are easy to find anyway and I believe there are scrubbed versions on YouTube. It's the other stuff that really matters to me. I'll take a look at BAD_AL's stuff.

You talked about voice synthesis. Have you tried it yet? I'd *love* to see what we could do with the Temuera voice and replacing the stock voice.

I was going to try it out myself with the Imp Commander voice from SWBF1, but it would take a long, long time to create the model.

Oh sorry for a billion year later response. I'm not really active here since I got what I wanted. Muhaha. Er.. hmm.

I couldn't get the voice AI to work. I'm just not much of a coder for that and there is so much garbage online. Just way too much work and very little patience. We do have enough audio assets to create voice lines and the Skyrim community has shown that it's possible and completely passable. I'm sure I could get it done but I would need to get a GOOD AI build set up that ACTUALLY works, and then I would need to cut up and subtitle the voice lines for the program. I could also try to get Tem lines from say... the Jango Fett Bounty Hunter game and so on. Create a real heap of voice lines as a dataset. I'm sure it's possible and some post processing could really make it work. I'm just lazy, bogged down and not helped much if at all in these endeavors.

Yeah the whole AI voice thing is difficult. Very promising as the results from the Skyrim voice synthesis is compelling. However it's just too much work for me.

Again, you need a spicy priced PC(mine cost 5K with just the hardware alone), then the proper programs and knowledge of them, a ton of voice lines for a dataset WITH the text as well for the AI to use to formulate the voice double, then you also need to write out every line you want to replace or say and save it and then edit it to sound better before modding your game and then realizing your game crashes due to too many voice files.

For anyone trying to do the AI voice thing, take a look at this. May be good to start a new thread to talk about this if you desire to experiment with this and other AI voice programs. Heck if you want Stormcloaks saying "For the Republic", you could do that. I'm too busy to do this ATM.
