To celebrate Reach's launch, I've put the finishing touches on my model of the Halo: Reach assault rifle. The texture is spliced together from two renders (not source materials, FTR) released by Bungie - I'm quite happy with how it came out.
Give credit to me for the model and Bungie for the renders I used in the texture, I suppose.
It looks good, but your texture is extremely inefficient. Next time you're going to photo-source a texture, make 2 UV layouts; the first one to "photosource" with (like the one this model is using), but then also create a new layout, where you can make sure that detail is more evenly spread; then bake the original lay-out texture map to the new layout.
And, not to sound like I'm angry, but I also think you should put more emphasis on how you "ripped" your texture from some screenshots, "I suppose" isn't really a proper way to credit people for the main part of the work on this model.
It's not that I think that photo-sourcing is bad, but if you'd refine your techniques, you can produce great looking results that'll look good from more than one angle.
