Metal Pole Weapon
Lol, I got too much spare time, so I made this:
A long metal pole.
Yup.
Doesn't get any much better than this.
Anyone can use this weapon, mostly civillian though.
Its got envmap, so at least its shiny in the sun.....like the quite good pic above...
Ok, running out of stalling lines,

CREDITS:
-Me, CodaRez. For just calling a primitivec cylinder remvoing some polys adding envmap and calling it a weapon.
-Textures are 64 x 64 grey to-some-degree
-RepSharpShooter's Meshtools4(and MshEx probably) allowing envmap.
-Pandemic
-GT

Re: The Extremely Mundane Metal Pole
reminds me of the days when i owned the steel cage, ahh the trio of midgets never saw that pole coming,
not much to say for a simple pole =P, i like it though, might be useful for something im thinking of =D

Re: The Extremely Mundane Metal Pole
Very nice pole. It's extremely polish. It's got that look around it that says, "Here comes a long bar of metal." A mechanic's best friend, no doubt. It's so mundane that anyone can use it. Indeed, it is excessivley mundane. It can boost a map's mundaneness ratio just by existing. Very well executed, Coda. Expertly handled....

Re: The Extremely Mundane Metal Pole
I've seen my AT-OT, the DC-15 Side Arm and a huge yavin temple with interior lately, all produced in XSI, but i must say, they're nothing compared to this model. The finesse, the detail.. Looks amazing!
Tip for users: for a big variety, you can use a real metal texture with holes, and apply a bumpmap. This will make this model even more detailed

Haha, nice! This could be used in a ton of different maps.

Re: Metal Pole Weapon
I wonder if it'd be possible to put a lightsaber blade on one end...

Re: Metal Pole Weapon
That ought to be possible. In order for any weapon to hit, the creator needs to put an hp_fire on somewhere, and you can add a saber blade to it via odf parameters.Darth_Squoobus wrote:I wonder if it'd be possible to put a lightsaber blade on one end...

Re: Metal Pole Weapon
Unfortunately said hp_fire's are placed INSIDE the staff.Fiodis wrote:That ought to be possible. So instead of a bladed spear, you would get darth mauls doubleblade, but INSIDE the pole

I'm pretty sure you can hexedit the locations of hps.CodaRez wrote:Unfortunately said hp_fire's are placed INSIDE the staff.Fiodis wrote:That ought to be possible. I don't have the least amount of experience in hex-editing. I guess I'll just have to make my own.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:I'm pretty sure you can hexedit the locations of hps.CodaRez wrote:Unfortunately said hp_fire's are placed INSIDE the staff.Fiodis wrote:That ought to be possible. Re: Metal Pole Weapon
But actually, if you make the blades long enough, they might stick out! Just like a realistic lightsaber technique! The blade starts from inside, and works it's way out! I wish all other Lightsaber hilts were like that. Oh woe...I'm downloading this.
