"Image" is all I see. A common problem, but it doesn't really matter, since I already knew what ATATFIGHTER's avatar looked like.
I rehosted it; you guys let me or one of the other staff know ASAP if there are any other problems so that we can fix them. Thanks!

You shouldn't be able to vote for yourself, I know I won't.

I know last year you could only vote for yourself once.

But last year there were also specified categories of avatars.

This year you really don't have a reason to vote for yourself. Besides the fact that it takes all the fun out of it.

Anyways, I voted.

The reason I have no problem with you voting for yourself is precisely because there's only one "category." Even if everybody voted for him- or herself, the second-place votes, which are presumably casted for the next-best, would bump one person above everyone else, because I'm doing a point system to determine the places (i.e. a first-place vote is 4 points, second is three, etc.). If there were more categories or you were only submitting one person's name, I would perhaps rethink my strategy. As it is, it's doubtful that a vote cast for oneself will change anything by much, although I would just encourage everyone to be honest with their votes.

I made a gigantic post and put the location of it in the title of the thread. I'm sure you can figure it out.

I voted. But not for myself.
I'd say that voting for yourself just takes the fun out of all of it.
It's basically cheating.

Too true, well said....In my opinion, voting for yourself isn't all that in line with the Christmas Spirit....

YAY! I just realized that people may think that I DID vote for myself, in which they didn't vote for me. :?
Well, I didn't.
Oh, I can't wait!

um.. btw may we vote our own entry, too? (A) or may those, who submitted one entry, not vote? :?

also .. seems this year there aren't any special groups (best amateur etc.) unlike last year :/

Merry Christmas, first of all!

I'd like to congratulate everyone that participated; everyone did a fine job. There were many good entries this year, but you all voted to decide the best of them all. Winners are as follows:

Third runner-up:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Bird-Kid
Second runner-up:
Hidden/Spoiler:
The_Emperor
First runner-up:
Hidden/Spoiler:
maxloef
And our winner:
Hidden/Spoiler:
MasterSaitek009
Congratulations to our winners! Third runner-up through first runner-up will recieve avatar titles (if they wish) indicating their success in the avatar contest for one whole year. The overall winner will recieve an avatar title of his choosing (provided it's not something like "Jedi Admin") which he may also have for one year.

If you were a winner, go ahead and PM either me or ShadowHawk and let us know whether you'd like to have the avatar title (it would be something along the lines of "Christmas Avatar Contest xth Runner-Up") or if you won let us know what you'd like your title to be.

Congratulations again to everyone that participated and Merry Christmas!
