Vote Now! (UPDATE! See page 3)
Hey Gametoast -
Every year, ModDB does a "Mod of the Year" competition. It showcases some of the best mods in the biz (to use the term loosely) from a lot of published games and a few that aren't. It's not only a fantastic opportunity to win some really neat prizes if you have a professional-looking mod, but even getting nominated for the top 100 is a huge deal because of the publicity it brings to the mod (and its community, that's us!).
The Conversion Pack was set up on ModDB over half a year ago with the express purpose of getting some attention for the mod and the community with the hopes that we'd be able to fare well in the competition. The Pack has been tremendously successful over there (featured as a mod of the month in September) and has gotten thousands of downloads there (on top of its thousands here and thousands at SWBFFiles and numerous other sites), and we have you guys (and presumably a lot of other people) to whom we'd like to say "thank you" for that.
Anyway, all that beating around the bush aside, ModDB's MotY 2008 competition has just started, and we'd like you to vote for the Conversion Pack to be one of the top 100. How can you do this? It's easy!
First of all, here's ModDB's page on Mod of the Year 2008. You can read all about it and how it'll work here:
http://www.moddb.com/events/2008-mod-of-the-year-awards
Secondly, here's the Conversion Pack's mod homepage at ModDB. You can look at it here:
http://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-bat ... rsion-pack
Finally, you can click the big "Vote" button in the middle of our page to vote for our mod in MotY 2008. Thanks so much, we appreciate your support!
Oh P.S. we plan on making a small patch to fix everything else, just so people don't forget about us. Keep an eye out!

Likewise.
Hopefully enough people still play BF2 to get it into top 100. The rating for it is pretty good...but only has 26 votes.

Re: Vote Now! (ModDB MotY competition)
Well I voted for it.
It should make the top 100 if at least 40% of everyone that downloaded it voted for it.

I voted. If it gets into the top 100, maybe it'll help bring SWBF2 modding back to life in places other than Gametoast.

I voted against it. I didn't feel right about voting for such a sloppily put together, bug ridden project.
