Is it possible to use laptop as PS2 monitor?

So I picked up a PS2 again with SWBF2 because I just love and miss it. For now I don't have a tv to use it with. I need to know is there anyway to play it and use my laptop as a screen. I have a piece of hardware that connects red/white/yellow to VGA but am not sure if that's what I need, or how to use it. Is there any software that can tell the computer get input from the VGA port? I really don't want to have to get a tv because in my current living situation it will be a hassle. I have no room for it.

i don't think so. Your VGA from the notebook is normally just for output. Not for input. What you need is something that supports and input (TV, PC monitor, Beamer,...)

What you need is a USB video capture device. You can usually find the RED/WHITE/YELLOW variation for really cheap:

I had one of these (link below) for years, and actually used it to record footage for the SWBF2 Xbox mod, as well as my Marvel Ultimate Alliance Xbox mod.

I just ordered one of those like minutes before seeing your reply. I had one before but lost it, and the software it came with sucked. I'm still open to software suggestions.

VirtualDub is free, and has been around a long time. Some people love it, others hate it. It's worth a look, though.
