I solved my problem, ZE didn't work when i had my NVIDIA GeForce 8600 in, but as soon as i downgraded to my NVIDIA GeForce 8400, it started working again. Can anyone get ZE to work with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600?

What's the current driver version of your NVIDIA GeForce 8400?

i believe i updated a driver for my graphics card and it doesnt work now... but anyway does anyone have a link to the working downgraded driver? that would be nice to share....
We have separate things here. Some people have upgraded to the newest driver (v. 185.85) and ZE started working again, while others (you and echo_66) have upgraded and had it stopped working. I know it stopped working for echo_66 when he tried to upgrade to v. 182.50, but I haven't heard back from him about v. 185.85. Is this the version that you tried to update to? If not, please try it and get back to us.
Once you have tried v. 185.85, if ZE still doesn't work, try using a restore point on your computer to go back to the previous driver (unless you updated a while ago and all your restore points are too recent).
I'm here... I'm downloading 185.85 right now to see... I will edit my post with results when I have them!
Till then, happy vista hating!
Edit: Epic Fail. Not only did the new driver version cause a runtime error with ZE, it killed my dual-monitor support and made the graphics card invisible to my computer. And it killed my driver restore point too, but I 'updated' it which fixed somethings, but not the runtime error. Now my startup is slower than ever and most of my graphically callengenging games crash within 15 minutes. Fun.
@ecko_66 Are you sure that you downloaded the right driver for your graphics card? A reinstall might fix it.
@Warfare32 Search on the nvidia site for geforce and the version you want (182?).
Also, has anybody tried the 186.18 driver? I will probably install it later today.
Does ZE work for you?
No
What edition of Vista are you running?
Home Premium
What type of graphics card do you have?
Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT
Did you upgrade an old XP machine to Vista or purchase it already installed?
Already Installed
Are you running 32 or 64 bit?
I have a 64 bit comp, but it only runs on 32 bit...
What version of Microsoft .NET Framework do you currently have installed?
How do I figure this out?
A simple Google search would tell you that TnL stands for Transform and Lighting. It's a hardware feature that became standard on graphics cards since about 2001. If your graphics card works well with DirectX8.0 at least, then you should be fine. Check Wikipedia for more specifics on this defunct feature. Any card you get now shouldn't have a problem, though you can always emulate hardware TnL with 3D-Analyze.
What does this have to do with this topic anyways?

Ok, it sounds like problems are being solved. I'm also downloading the 186.18 driver (for my GeForce 8600 GTS).
OH, I do hope it comes out well.
EDIT:
Ok, excuse me for this but; yaaaAAAAaaaAAAaaaAAAaaay
I'm so happy with this. Zeroeditor finally works! Updating works. WOOOO!
