It's in the docs (under art_guide or something like that), but I think it's around 2000. The Jedi Academy conversions that didn't have any LODs were a little more than that, Durge I think was around 2800 and they have no problems. The biggest issue with going high poly is that when lots of polygons are close together modelmunge.exe welds them all together and they show up as a 'hole' ingame.
