Tatooine At War [1.1] - Final Version


Tatooine At War is a total conversion map which combines many places seen on Tatooine such as Mos Eisley or Jabba's Palaces into on, large map.
There are many places you have probably seen from Episode IV to Episode VI. You can play as Boba Fett, Han Solo, Darth Vader or as Luke Skywalker in Conquest Mode, race against the time across the entire map or survive as a stranded Rebel Soldier in the middle of nowhere.
This map also supports Stock GCW (Just the units) so you can play this map with varios side mods (all.lvl + imp.lvl only).
Most assets were stock or self-made, some were made by other mod-authors and some other are assets from the cancelled game: Star Wars Battlefront III by Free Radical Design like Vehicles, Units and Weapons.


VERSION 1.1: I released the new and final - final version of this map. Many bugs have been fixed, crashes shouldn't occur again and multiplayer has now been finally added.

Nice, I've seen the pics of the converted swbf3 Han Solo :D

Okay that's beside Rends Mos Eisley one of the most detailed tatooine map I've played! :faint:
The only bug that I found was when you play as Boba and switch to the flamethrower that you can't switch back.

Awesome, I got done playing through both the Conquest eras the other day and it was a really enjoyable experience. Being the Star Wars Battlefront 3 Darth Vader, Han Solo and even Boba Fett on Star Wars Battlefront 2 really grind my gears since I can not play the beta due to Origin not allowing me to log in. While I was taking the command posts over on the far left, I was able to get them all and take the first forward command post. Afterwards it was a deadlock between both sides (even when I was offered the hero) which really says the sides are even. I will report back if I find any problems with the map, really nice job on the map so far!

This is exactly what I would like to see more of in a BF2 mod! wow, Where did u get the Han Solo model from, I think Evolved should use that. Are u still currently working on Cato Neimoida? or is it in post-production?

Some high poly models have been converted from the canceled Battlefront 3 by Free Radical Design. And Cato Neimoida is not my project. I know both maps seem to be similar ny each other (ground battle, spaceships and more) but I never started doing this map. It's JazzMaster's work.

Hm that's strange. I never encountered this. I even made sure this weapon (rifle) has no awarded weapon. I can't explain why. Did this happen again after you reloaded the map and played as him?

Okay a couple of things, I love lukes house and the sand crawler way out in the distance.
When I destroyed the rebel capitol ship it spun out and landed on the ground and had its shields back, so I destroyed them again while it was on the ground but couldn't destroy the ship again.
Also I destroyed the rebel transport and the chunks were still there, is it supposed to be like that?
Other than that, this is by far one of the best maps I've played.
Also I had no problems with bobas weapons. I could switch back and forth fine. I don't know if its because I don't have award weapons though.

I used to encounter a bug on PS2 swbf2 where if I had legendary awards, using Han Solo, I could not switch back to the gun after using the fusion cutter. Remaking a fresh profile with no awards seems to help.

Hey!
Played your Map yesterday - great work so far.

Just a few questions/suggestions:

Have u planned Cockpits in 1st person? Missed that flying through the canyons.
The hidden planen like Lukes house/sandcrawler/sarlacc/jabba have lot of Potential and are lovely details. I thing you should give the Player a good reason to visit them. On Most of These places the Player is completely alone and After one visit youve seen everything.

I hope u understand what l mean.

And l think the SSDs could be armed and have hangars.

No gameplay Bugs found.

Having a blast so far. Literally gasped out loud when playing with Boba Fett, he looks so awesome.

As for bugs, when I use the turrets (the smaller ones) the hands aren't holding the turret, also, don't know if it's on purpose, but no A.I. uses the skiffs.

The map is probably coming out very soon or in the near future since TheLegend tends to complete his mod map projects. I ran into the same problem with the link, probably either got removed or died off already. I have the beta and if you want, I could re-upload it for you, should not take me very long.

I am going to release this map when I finished (Hopefully before Christmas). The public beta should have actually been available since October. But I still kept the link up. I removed the link a couple of days ago. So please no re-upload then. But thank you anyways for sharing, Mike.
