Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 50
I unit changes aren't included yet, because they make the download size huge.
You can tell if the shell is working by selecting multiple maps and seeing if you see any extra era checkboxes. You can check if the rest of it is working by seeing if any of the FakeConsole commands work. The button to get to the FakeConsole menu is in the pause menu. Press 'Esc' when you're ingame.
And I want to make sure that data_lvl_pc is a typo (should be data/_lvl_pc).

Yes, I removed all my addon maps except the test map I mentioned, and the conversion pack. The map played just fine, but more interestingly, the fake console commands that didn't work before now do. I can click them, they are highlighted in blue, and actually work.[RDH]Zerted wrote:Did it help?
I don't know how an addon map could affect that much, but I guess I'll just have to add my maps back one by one till I find the culprit.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 50
Check to see if any of those maps have custom ingame.lvl. If a file such as game_interface.lua is replaced with a map's version, then there will be problems as the game won't load any new .lua files required by the v1.3 patch.Caleb1117 wrote:...I don't know how an addon map could affect that much, but I guess I'll just have to add my maps back one by one...
For those of you who I told that I would have another release yesterday, I'm sorry I didn't do it. I thought up a few new FakeConsole commands that should be useful for all the commands which change unit class properties. I want to try to put those in first to make the next release more meaningful to download, instead of two close releases with few changes between them.
The next release will be around 30MB (instead of 7MB, but includes the v1.2 sides) and will require the game to have the retail/shipped versions of the sides and main lvl files (you backed those up right?).

Yea, my Dantooine map has a custom ingame.lvl for the custom CP icons. Would that do it; in theory?[RDH]Zerted wrote:Check to see if any of those maps have custom ingame.lvl. Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 50
If all you have are CP icons in the ingame.lvl, then it should be fine. It only matters if your ingame.lvl overwrites something important the v1.3 patch uses.
Uninstalling the v1.2 patch should restore the sides. The next v1.3 revision will have an uninstaller, but the older ones didn't. I think the SWBF1 pack changes the lvls too. It is fine if you have extra side files, but the main rep.lvl, imp.lvl, cis.lvl, all.lvl, and their xxxshell.lvl versions have to be the original versions.
Edit:
Revision 61 Release (24MB):
I'm thinking it would be best if I finished this patch the same day the SWBF1 pack is finished. Theres still one more major feature I want to add, then its all just icons and a menu for the installer.

Edit:
Revision 61 Release (24MB):
- Includes a .bat installer and uninstaller
- Installs/Uninstalls by patching files instead of replacing them
- Listens to AddUnitClass and SetClassHero to get a map's custom unit classes (Meaning all the FC commands should work on custom units)
- Includes tdf, hctf, race mode icons
- Fixed Assualt spelling errors
- Greatly reduced v1.3 patch's debug output
- Added game mode and FakeConsole bonus command descriptions
- Includes the custom sides

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 50
I dunno if this is fixable but in all the versions of both Free Cam and 1.3 the remove point limits command only removes the points from the first 6 units on the spawn screen.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 61
The way it is coded it shouldn't do that... Can you tell me the map you've noticed this on? Have you tried spawning as those other units? They might be unlocked, just the game isn't showing it.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 61
I downloaded Revision 61 but how do you install it? I extracted it to my desktop and than ran the install.bat and it said it couldn't find the files and it didn't change my SWBF2 lvl files at all. Where do you put the v1.3 files in order to install?

Look in the doc folder for the installation guide. It says to extract the files to a new folder called "v1.3patch" in SWBF2's main installation folder.

You have to create the folder, by default "v1.3patch" doesn't exist.

Thats fine. I didn't think someone would think of that. It will help me make better wording for future versions.Fluffy_the_ic wrote:Oh. I thought the main installation folder was install. Oh well.
If I can learn enough about batch programming, then my goal is to allow the files to be extracted into any folder and for the installation file to automatically find SWBF2.

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 61
Zerted, I extracted the files to v1.3-patch in Star Wars Battlefront II and ran the install.bat it appeared to install correctly other than this:
It patched all the files (main lvl files and sides) but in game everything was the same as before (that is the shell). I can't test the sides/Fake Console because when I play a map (even the shipped maps) it crashes right when it turns to the loading screen image and before you ask I did not have any other mods installed I did a fresh installation of SWBF2 with the Domestic Version of the Official V 1.1 Patch just before installing V 1.3. I backed up my sides and main lvl's just before trying this.
Here is the SWBF2 Log:
Also are you going to include the new FP views from the SWBF2 Unofficial 1.2 Patch?

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - revision 61
I get this when I install it.
I had even completely un- and re-installed the game and patched to 1.1.
Ingame there is no custom era or mode support.
