Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - Development
Sweet lovin'. Again, my only real gotta-have-it thing aside from what's obviously already going to be in is the JKA versions of some of the heroes. A lot of the SWBF2 hero models are horrible. Some are pretty good, but Han, Obi-Wan and Anakin inparticular suck.

Earth icon reference, just a plain simple earth picture:

Guess the oceans can be cut out for the icon, and just leave the continent shapes

We might want to include the Classic Conquest sides in the Un. 1.3 Patch as I'm going to write a tutorial soon on how to make Classic for mapmakers. If it's in 1.3 then they will not only see the Classic icon, but the sides will be there so it won't crash.

If I could design an icon, I would have built them already.
A Classic Conquest side, meaning a Classic Conquest era? If so, what will be the character code?

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - Development
Nah, Classic Conquest is an existing mode (bf1) for SWBF1 style gameplay. Putting the side in with the patch would mean that folks can make Classic Conquest maps and play them without the Convo Pack. Otherwise someone's map may have a Classic Conquest mode, and the end-user doesn't have the Convo Pack. So at that point they can select the mode, but don't have the assets, causing a crash.

There is a ScriptCB function which checks the file system for a folder/file. I'm using it with the preview videos so I know it works in the shell, but I've never tested it ingame.

I edited a hundred luas to use the 'r' era as Red vs Blue Is it too much trouble to change birth of the rebellion?

Thats what scripts are for :emp:RepSharpshooter wrote:I edited a hundred luas to use the 'r' era as Red vs Blue
Red vs Blue would fit in the V era. If it goes back to R, where should Birth of the Rebellion go?

Are the 1.2 and 1.3 patches going to be combined? I loved the new look that 1.2 gave the game.

I believe that is the plan.

"B" would be my next choice, but if it's taken any arbitrary letter would work.[RDH]Zerted wrote:Red vs Blue would fit in the V era. If it goes back to R, where should Birth of the Rebellion go?

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - Development
If no one minds, I'm going to consider all the sides to be named in the following format: <era>1, <era>2. This way, I won't have to figure out side names for all the eras.
Example:
For the Y era in the SetupTeams section, you would use 'y1 = ' and 'y2 = ' instead of 'cis =' and 'rep =' as you would for the C era. I'll make sure the standard C and G eras work normally.

No disagreement here, but I don't know if I'd use them for the KotOR era. Right now I'm using REP and IMP for the Old Republic and Sith Empire respectively, because those are their names anyway.[RDH]Zerted wrote:If no one minds, I'm going to consider all the sides to be named in the following format: <era>1, <era>2. Never thought of that! That would be the same for the newrep team, though these new icons might require new names Mav'..

Re: UnOfficial v1.3 Patch - Development
Sigh, never mind. It appears the game can only support one additional custom CP icon per map. Whenever I try to use two custom teams, both their CP holo icons are always the same, even though their team names and icons are set to different values.
Can't auto configure team names, team icons, or cp icons. So much for seamless era integeration

No Mandalorian Wars era? Would fit under M, but that's taken. What's the point of having 'movie' CW and GCW anyways? It's still the same era, whether it's 'movie' or not.

And if a modder wants to have the regular two eras as well as a movie-accurate mode, he/she's gonna need a separate era. It could be a mode, I guess, but that way you can't have, like, movie-accurate assault and conquest on the same map. I think Elmo's Mygeeto map had both the regular eras (to support mods) and a movie-accurate era, for example.
