Alpha thoughts

Pros
-Really gives a sense of all out war
-Really fun and almost a complete mirror image of EA's
-The models are fantastic
-So is the map
-Love the new Yoda and Kylo model

Cons
-When MTT's reach destination and timer reaches zero, the game keeps going and never ends
-The Republic Cruiser looks kinda gross and untextured
-All out war is great but I feel like it was over done as there were too many units

Neutral
-What are the white places on the map supposed to be? I assume its for where to put the ion torpedoes but the Clones tend to converge around that area like they protecting something
-Yoda's head is a little too big but at the same time fits
-I love how he looks so grumpy too

Overall, you showed EA what they should have done a long time ago. Great Work :thumbs:

Currently downloading the Alpha now, however I have another suggestion which you can use across your EA maps.
As you know you can create multiple variants of your map to lead random variants, such as weather, side variants and even gameplay changes.
You could use this to have EA time changes on your maps, such as Day, Morning, Evening and Night editions to Naboo and Kahyyyk. (However EA had Day and evening for Naboo and Day and Night for Kashyyyk.

Crait could also have a Evening variant as it goes from day to evening in The Last Jedi as it's Day during the assault on the big cannon and evening by the Luke and Kylo fight.


If you want examples of what I'm talking about look at Kothlis: Sea Haven, Alzoc III: Blizzard 2.0 from GAB and it was also used on the Coronet rail in the Dark Times II.

I really loved the map and I can say without bias that this map is the best looking map with max graphics and the HarrisonFog graphic mod. At first when I was playing the map it crashed so re opened it and weird things happened but then restarted Battlefront again and it went back to normal. I'm not sure if the problem is at my end or not.

The only bad game play was that it felt as if there were too many units as well and it felt like complete chaos. I know chaos is a good thing but this felt way to far.

There were a few problems with the terrain and odf placement such as a floating crate and floating command consoles above the Turbo Tanks. The terrain wasn't very flat and had hard triangles pointing out. Some of the water was square like and some puddles were deep enough to drown in.

The Heavy Droid's shield didn't align with the body as it is too high up

I felt as if the phase near the TurboTanks in the swamp like area should have been more dense with leaves and bamboo. Even though it looked a bit dense I could still easily shoot enemies through the bamboo and leaves from several meters away. Even though it had a few cons it was an amazing experience thanks for inviting me into it in this early closed alpha.

EDIT
I also think you should change the grenade launcher of the officers to Gistechs Battlefront Barrage Launcher as the grenade launcher looks like a T-21 blaster

I also think you should change the specialists ee4 to have a six shot burst and change the colour of the blast to red and change it so you have to tap to shoot as it would me much more accurate to the game.

I would recommend using Gistechs BF3 droids as there model is much more accurate. The only problem with the model is that the texture of the eyes is too big which is an easy change to make

A few other notes-

- Will u add a barrier between the AI wookies fighting on the sidelines and the actual battle to prevent the two from crossing over?
I came across a snail tank and thought it was a vehicle the droids could get in so when it was destroyed, it said that I killed a wookie and realized it was supposed to be part of the AI battle happening on the sidelines.

- Will you add a barrier in general to keep the fighting in the designated war zone?
At about where the left juggernaut is hanging out, there is a large portion of land that doesn't feel right with the battle. Could you maybe fill it up with trees to prevent anyone from going too far?

- Awkward spawning
As a Clone, you would either spawn facing away from the battle or be two feet away from it or both at the same time. It's a bit annoying when you are struck with both.

Just like TeeNuggetTa said "Even though it had a few cons it was an amazing experience"

- Kylo Ren/Dooku
Kylo feels a bit slow for Kylo Ren at the moment. Using Dooku matches Kylo with voice lines and and stance makes him look unique but when he fights, he is a bit too slow. If u can, pls tweek it a bit and make it faster or give him a jedi/sith with faster saber skillz.

This map is even more acurate to EA SWBF2 than Assault on theed(as you said you need Sereja assets to make it more acurate) Is even the best kashyyyk map I seen. I noticed a bug in the countdown, when it reaches 0,the game continue For a while
,Kylo ren has a bug in one of his shoulders,I don't remeber if I shared to MissingTexture a Kylo ren model I did, maybe is this one,I never tested it

Did you said that are you thnki about work in Mos Eisley and Kamino?Sereja already released his Mos Eisley assets,Kamino is more difficult to do,I can extract the Kamino map from Jedi Accademy by SJC but I need someones toconvert it to props,at the moment I just did player models.

Yeah this is the one you gave to me Javitotlo, the bug in the shoulder I believe comes from his cape from the looks of it!

Things that I liked:
1. The map is very accurate to the new Battlefront
2. Lighting is very good (although it could be improved)
3. Plays like the new Battlefront

Things that need to be improved:
1. Kylo Ren is way too weak, he can't hurt anyone unless he gets up close or chokes them but both these things leave him very open to gunfire. I find myself dieing pretty fast when I'm playing as Kylo. I suggest giving him another long range ability like saber throw.
2. It is impossible to win as CIS. Even if you make it to the cruiser with the MTTs and the time runs out, you still lose.
3. Kylo Ren's model needs to be improved. His textures are very good, but his skirt thing is too short and his head is too big, also the edges of his cape needs to be smoothed out a bit. Yoda's head is a bit too big as well.
4. More props and foliage need to be added. Currently the beach feels kind of empty. I suggest adding a few turrets and broken wood, also make the foliage in the back near the cruiser thicker.

Overall, I think this is a very high quality map and it shows a lot of potential. It is very fun and entertaining for an early alpha. I can tell there was great attention to detail and you put a lot of effort into this. I rate 8/10. I can't wait for future improved versions of this map. Keep up the good work! :D

@huscal - what white spaces ???? Picture plz ??? I will address all your cons as well I'm some way shape or form ... maybe not in time for the public alpha BUT ... we'll see

@iamastupid - yes I will add a day night random chance thing - 70% day, 30% night

@TeeNuggetTa - DUDE WHAT DID U DO !!! I've never seen that in my life !!! Sometimes when you play a map before a custom one , the custom one will crash but I've never seen that. It's probably the graphics mod if I had to guess . Where did you get that graphics mod from again, the dark web ???
Thank you for the pictures those items and puddles will be fixed or removed.
Unit changes - like the shield will happen slowly and actually might not make it into the public alpha but thanks for informing me.
I like your sniper suggestion so I will change this eventually as well !
I will look into Gistechs BF3 droids as well as the Granada launcher and maybe change the ones I have.
As for those bushes near the republic ship - I can't find any anywhere so I'm using bamboo ): Still works I guess .

Hahaha I actually over did it with the chaos hmmm ? Well I want to keep it ... at least for the public alpha - BUT I will give the units slightly more health and give the CIS officers a stronger heal and defense boost ! That way you'll survive that initial wave a lot more !

Yeah everyone is telling me Kylo is weak I'll try to improve this but I think the real problem is that he uses dookus animation set ! Maybe I'll just change it to anakins animation what do you guys think

I can't do anything about Kylo Rene skirt glitch or his shoulder , same with today's head - I didn't make those models. I could always revert to the original especially for yoda but I probably won't. Even with the glitches they have they are still very well done and good enough for me.

Health will be increased I will also increas the officers health and defense wave capibilites on this map so that units won't be killed as easily !

I am indeed working on mos eiesly AND Jakku ! Kamino will come eventually but I have no plans for it right now . it'll be before takko Donna that's for sure ... EVERYONE WANTS TAKODONNA and I don't even know why LOL ! But yeah Javitolo thanks sooooo much for wanting to help and convert those kamaino assets ! You'll defiantly be credited for that one if you decided to do it but there is no rush - actually id just hold off for a few months on kamino , so for now don't even worry about it.

And yes I know the droids get defeated after 9 mins - the public alpha will have all three phases , I just needed a way to end the map for the closed alpha !

Mos eisly and jakku will be posted here on gametoast but a lot like how thelegend made one big post for battlefront 3 legacy . there's no need for me to make 12 separate WIP post lol.

I did actually get in a few games of kashyyyk and crait today while playing battlefront ea and I have sadly decited I will need more time to develop this map before I make it available to everyone ! I'm just not ... there yet if you know what I'm saying. I want to get my map closer graphic wise so It needs more time in the oven . I'll be pushing back the public release - closed alphas are still available to those who ask tho.

I'll need a name for the project so be thinking about it !

PROS-

Great detail, feels surprising similar to EA's Battlefront 2 (even though all I've seen of it are YouTube videos), and the heroes look great!
Thanks for improving the specialist, now we can snipe enemies without having to be within 5 meters of them. :D



CONS/BUGS-

Although this map gives me the feeling of "absolute chaos", I think you overdid it this time- there are just way too many units.
When I play as the heroes, I usually get killed pretty quickly, so could you please raise their health and lower the unit count. Oh, and Kylo is kinda slow to react to movements and so he dies much more easily than Yoda.
Also, I sometimes spawn facing directly away from the battle and even right in the middle of it, (early on in the match for clones, and later in the match for droids) and when that happens I get killed very quickly. Could you somehow make the spawn points move with the MMT but so that the droid one stops moving at a certain point at a safe distance from the enemy spawn point, and so that the clone spawn point starts a safe distance from the droid one?



SUGGESTIONS-
Hidden/Spoiler:
In Deviss's Clone Wars Extended mod, there are very good animations and models for the Clone Sergeant's rotary blaster so you may consider getting in touch with him to see if you can use it for the Clone heavy trooper's rotary blaster in your Conversion project.
(I think he released some of his assets from his mod on gametoast but i couldn't find the Clone Sergeant or his weapon there.)
