Hello all. Back in the summer of 2011, Marth8880 and THEWULFMAN had an idea to create a map pack based on locations found in our Solar System. Not many maps have been released since then, but hopefully, that will all change starting officially today.

The first two maps are not new. However, they have been primarily visually updated for this map pack. They are:

Luna: Apollo 17 Landing Site

The third map, Earth: Pioneer Trails, was not originally intended for this project, but it too will be updated similarly at a later time.

As you can see, this so far is technically just an "Earth System + Venus" map pack. If anyone would like to help expand this map pack by contributing maps based on the Solar System’s numerous other locations, then feel free to make a post indicating your interest to do so. Your offer will be much appreciated. :D

Regardless, a fourth map is in the planning stages now that will essentially “cheat” this idea by covering all of the major locations in the Solar System in a single map (or at least “from orbit”). There will be more information, as soon as progress is made.

All maps will feature stock Clone Wars and Galactic Civil War eras, as well as support for the Mass Effect: Unification mod.

Another component of this mod is the Battlefront: Evolved-esque sides. This means that the stock unit layouts and game play will remain the same, but things such as models/textures and fx/sound effects have been changed. In particular, [organic] units have been visually updated for combat in environments with little to no life support. The sides are still a work in progress (especially vehicles), but here is what has been completed so far:

The rifleman, rocketeer, sniper, and engineer classes all use this player model (rocketeer and engineer have a backpack, and sniper has a visor).

I'd like to make a map based on the Saturn. Maybe flying platforms like in Bespin and in sky you can see the Saturn Ring. I am interested.

Wow ! That's a great job you did here.

Question: Is the Ben Kenobi model is the one from the asset or a re-skinned Obi-Wan Kenobi ? Because he interesst me. Did I can use him for my mod please ?

This looks great! The only suggestion is that maybe Obiwan should be replaced by a hero who can breathe in space, maybe Plo Koon?

Great! The would be cool. :D Feel free to design your map however you like. There's no set deadline for this project yet, so please take all the time you need. Thanks for volunteering. :)

Plo Koon will actually be the hero for the Republic on Luna, but see what Marth said. :wink:

It's just a reskin of the stock model. I can let you use it, but only once you've made significant progress on your mod.

Support for stock sides is a great idea. Not many people who make maps with custom sides allow stock sides to be played

That shadow guard looks very impressive, almost like a new or kitbashed model. The skin looks less plasticky which is a problem I had with another royal guard model. Great job on the Evo skin as well, he looks really clean.

It looks very very very very nice. My favourite is Venus :)

But where can I find the center in the middle of the Venus station?It looks interesting.

Hello all. Just letting everyone know that this map pack is still being worked on and that we have an update today:

So back in 2012, Marth was working on a map called Mars: Geryon Montes. Well, not much happened with it; it was never finished nor released. It pretty much fell into obscurity and got neglected.

But approximately six days ago, we sporadically decided to resurrect this map, and gave it a huge makeover with the goal of actually completing it for this map pack.

That looks really nice. I still haven't got suggestions but maybe a red sandstorm. And the sky atmosphere is maybe to clear. There is more dirt in sky on Mars. The other thing is the sun. The mars is a few miles away from the earth. It should be a little bit smaller.
All in all the map looks awesome.
