How to add custom map preview images?

Does anybody know if it's possible to manually add custom map preview images that appear when selecting a map from the Instant Action screen? I know that the Mass Effect Unification mod has video previews for each of it's maps, but I'm just curious if it's possible to add image previews to maps that don't have any preview including the default BF2 ones. If it is possible, can somebody please share the process? I've searched Google for almost 2 days straight, and I can't find anything that even mentions map previews whatsoever.

You'll have to follow the video preview tutorial (somewhere on gametoast) but your video file can just be one image displayed for a few seconds.
