Trouble Enabling Specular [Solved]
I'm having trouble enabling specular on the stock stormtrooper, shock trooper, and scout trooper models by means of hex editing. I tried both options (each individually and then simultaneously) listed by Ace here: http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 20#p279620

all of the imp models are super weird for some reason, the whole side is. Search through the rest of the model and make sure its changed in all the places, like I said, imp models are weird, you have to change it in multiple places. I believe. the tat buildings have the same weirdness. and use 04 not 80, it will be shinier.

^That's what you need to use (04 6th place over from ATRB).4 ===== 04 = Render Specular
Lighting quality must be on Medium or High in the game's video options and the diffuse texture also needs an alpha channel for it to work, have a look at the Dark Trooper's texture to get an idea what you'd need.

I've tried that and then I tried it again, this time using the alpha channel from the dark trooper texture instead. Still nothing, and I always have my lighting set on medium. I know I was able to get specular to work before with the stock stormtrooper Han Solo and snowtrooper backpack. Is there anything special with the stock storm, shock, and scout models then?

Try using the the Dark Trooper's material settings on the stormtrooper and see if it makes a difference:
