Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy - Looking for a Mod Team

Me and Anakin are looking for Members to join the Battlefront III Project Team.
Battlefront III Project is a full conversion mod adding new eras and maps from the cancelled Game: Star Wars Battlefront III.
Our aim is not to make a copy of BF3 but a recreation the way we think it will give you best gaming experience.

The mod is split into two big parts: The Sides and the Map. Currently only one map is going to be in developement. The Sides are recreations of all four main fractions: CIS, Republic, Empire, Alliance.
We plan on using as many Assets from the cancelled Battlefront as possible. New Sounds, a new menu and a new HUD are also planned. But they are still not important yet. The most important thing is the conversion/port of those Assets.
During the past weeks almost every single Bf2 Unit could be replaced with the new assets. Also maps are planned so far. The only map for now would be the recreation of Coruscant.

We are looking for Modders who are experienced in making new sides and being able to convert meshes into Battlefront II. You would need an average experience in making/converting vehicles, units, weapons (and maybe props). Mostly for the units. So if you are able to help us with the sides, we would really apprectiate this.
You don't need to be a modeleler, animatior or scriptor. Even if you are just good at skinning we apprectiate your help then.

There is no real limit of team members. We are also going to use already converted Bf3 Assets (Like Weapons, Vehicles and Units). If you are able to port models from the shared assets we would really like to work together with you.

We are going to use git to share the project under the devs, so it would be good if you are handy with that tool.
The following list shows you how many devs we need. To become a Team member you need to bring time, so you shouldn't have an other active project.
But you needn't be one of our dev team to help us. If you don't have the time for such a project, you can help us as a outside collaborator by converting single units/props. Just tell us what you are going to convert, so we won't do it twice.

Our team so far:

Team Map:
the_legend/El_Fabricio: 1st. Leader of this project.
Tasks: (Re)Making the first map, scripting, part-time sound design, part-time Animation Design.

??? Mapper
Tasks: remaking the map

??? 3D Artist
Tasks: creating not existing 3d props that cannot be converted for the map team, doing new soldier animations for the side team.

Team Side:
Anakin: 2nd. Leader of this project.
Tasks: converting imp/rep common weapon.

???
Tasks: converting all/cis

Team Graphic:
Darth Dio: HUD artist
Tasks: new HUD (new weapon icons, minimap, rearrange all elements for better looking)

Team Interface:
jedimoose32: Interface Artist/Editing
Tasks: new Interface Icons, Images etc..., (maybe names), (maybe rearranging)...

If you want to join our dev Team, please tell us what job you want.
If you want to help us as a outside collaborator, please tell us, what you are going to do for us.

For more questions feel free to ask. If you would like to contribute to this project feel free to reply to this post.

Since Ginev is already working on a SWBF3 mod, I suggest you get in contact with him and see if you can merge projects, he's still pretty active on SWBFGamers, so you should PM him there. I'm too busy with other projects to work on this full-time, but I can probably convert some character and weapon models for you guys.

Ginev would be on here but his country is under the IP Ban. I did suggest he should contact Teancum about it.

Really they should contact Guru. Turns out it's not a Gametoast thing, but something that affects all the sites on the same server Gametoast is on.

Basically my arms don't reach high enough to unban IP ranges as it's up above Gametoast. (I didn't realize this before)

Guru can be a bit difficult to reach, as you told me when I was trying to get my account reactivated.

you said once that ginev is the one from jkhub who made the FO trooper, so i pmed him. Some days ago he replayed, so he is still active here ;)

About the guru problem, i'm pretty sure there is no problem to contact him (he got all my messages) but he does not often answer to them...

Patience. Things take time. But to make you believe, there is already something going on, here's some Pictures showing "all" the progress I made so far on the Coruscant Map:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
As you can see there is just a sky and some ported Landers. There is no map yet. No actual stuff is currently going on there. I can only start to coninue my work there when I am absolutely sure if the Coruscant Map Assets (Corra_Ashu once posted here) will ever be released (Or if there is someone else who already got converting assets working).
So in short: No. There aren't any real updates to show.

since it is public, you can have a look at this: https://github.com/GT-Anakin/data_BSM every time I push, you can see my progress, and hopefully thelegends, too once he is handy with git.

I'll add a changelog file with the next commit.

You can also clone this repo and make your own changes, but please notify us, so we don't work at the same parts. Later on you can send us a pull request and we'll decide what we use.
But do that only if you know how to handle fit.

Out of curiosity, what SVN client do you use for managing SWBF2 repos? Is it just the Git desktop application or something else? I use TortoiseSVN for basically everything, since it's what my school uses, but it seems to always want to create both a trunk and a branch folder first, which is rather obtrusive for projects like SWBF2 projects.

I'm using git: https://git-scm.com/downloads with tortoiseGit gui: https://tortoisegit.org/

You won't need git when using SVN. It's something different.
When i created my repo there were not two folders. Just the hidden git folder. I worked with svn a while ago for an institute of my university, and they used SVN and TortoiseSVN as gui, and they don't had these two folders.

A while back IIRC it was on Nedarb7's Youtube channel and I saw him working on a weapons/class console where you could switch weapons on the pause menu. I'd love to see this implemented in your mod with BF3 models! :D

That was Glitch.

And I don't think SWBF3 had character customization.
