No swbf1 is better (don't start a discution not the time or thread Iam just voicing my opinion) I bought swbf1 first then bought 2 played 2 for a long time, the only good bit are the space battles playing as jedi is not epic trust me gets boring and repetitive no starfighters on ground maps and it is soooo not cannon as a game. but there are many great mods out there that make it better but the game itself is very unstable and has many glitches the mods do not help also depends on your computer (or what ever you have). The AI is not better than in bf1 niether is the gameplay. The graphics are not better. Iam now playing swbf1 again.

I disagree.
BFII DOES have better graphics, otherwise they would just release an extension pack for BFI to add space and heroes. The engine is a lot smoother in BFII, and it has more game modes than just conquest (unlike BFI). Overall, BFII adds a whole other layer of "replayabilty" that is somewhat lacking in BFI. It is definately worth the purchase. Plus, you get to DL all the cool BFII mods like the Convo Pack if you want to keep the BFI maps in the same game or Dark Times to add a completely new feel to the game. I would not recommend DLing mods until you have played the game for a while, though, because the mods are like a refresher for the game if you get bored with the default stuff.

I think the game modes are boring like hunt and ctf, xl battle is ok though.
edit. if you ask wether you should buy swbf2 in a swbf2 moding forum the answer is obiviously going to be yes

This isn't a Swbf2 exclusive modding community forum. Just the majority modify it.

As to the comment above of jedi being boring... It is never boring or repetitive. I have over at least 2000 jedi play time hours, out of my 2700 game time hours in swbf2.

Yes, buy the game. BF2 is way better than BF1. Plus there's a lot more people who mod for it than BF1, and there's a lot cooler mods such as the Conversion Pack, BFX, and more.

The mods make swbf2 without them it is a not so good game to be fair I do get tempted back by some of the mods they look so awsome... I am staying with bf1 what i preffer

I'd go and buy it. It's not perfect (but then again, what is?), but still get it. Better gameplay than BF1, better graphics, better battles, etc.

eh, i'd buy it just for the mods in bf2. I've played SWBF1 since it came out and then i bought SWBF2 about half a year ago. The SWBF2 interface and HUD just didn't seem comfortable to me. The jedis were annoying, and the online play wasn't too great. In SWBF1 the online play is brilliant and simple with only 5 units on each side to choose and all very different. I do have to admit though, BF2 has the best mods. In the SWBF1 online community we have a small community about 500ish players overall, which is not very small but definetly not too big. All in all, Bf2 is "shinier" and has more features but bf1 is superior in gameplay and overall fun

. If a lot of people were still modding and playing SWBF1 it, it would be wayyyyy better than SWBF2. SWBF1 is a great classic, i don't know why most of you guys don't mod/play it

Try finsing it in common stores such as Target and Wal-Mart. It's got a sequel, (Huh, where did I deduce that

) it's a PC game, (not exclusively, but to mod, yes, exclusively) and it's not too popular anymore, so stores sell it less. A LOT less.

I believe that you should get BFII for sure. I prefer BF1, jsut like Fang, but the mods for BFII are absolutely brilliant, then there's an objective-based campaign, and galactic conquest.

Then again, there' no Jub Jub...

BFII you can play as a hero
BFII more heroes.
And download the conversion pack
Than you have BFII and BFI(almost) in the same game.

In shorter words just buy BFII

I believe that BF2 is better than BF1. but...wasnt this a topic on if you should save your money or buy BF2? if thats the case, look at what games you play, and decide if you have time for another game. but yes, playing new mods is sooo fun, especially if they have new, never seen, classes.

DO NOT GET THE PS2 VERSION. End of abridged story.
Full story: A lot darker and less view distance. Get the PC version, for sure. The conversion pack isn't the only mod with the AT-XT, as well. A lot of mods have it.

The heroes weren't a good addition to the game for me. The space battles got old after a while. The new classes of units aren't too unique, in BF1 theres similiar units. I bought BF2 a few months ago, and played it for a few days and got bored. Yet i've been playing BF1 since it came out

The answer:Yes, absolutely
Buy it, it's worth the money, test it for yourself, then you can decide if you like BF1 or BF2 better.
