A lot of people want to know how to add custom sound. So I decided to patch up a tutorial I made for BF1. Hope it makes sense. If anything it should give you a clear look at how the sound should be setup.

The sound.bat's are broken in the BF2 tools, but I believe Majin Revan got them workings, so if you don't want to setup the sound the way I have in the tutorial, which is using the BF1 tools, find that thread and you should be able use the sound.bats in BF2 to setup the sound in my tutorial.

Basicly for the tutorial your going to setup everything in the BF1 tools and then copy what it munges into your BF2 map's munged folder. I explain it a little more in the tutorial!

Hope it can be used! :)

I have a question.

What if you have more than one stream? Do you make the same number of giant Stream Regions?

If you mean that you have another sound stream with a different sound than another one, then you would make a new group region and plug in the right name from the sound properties file.

If you mean you want to have multiple sound stream regions with the exact same sound, just keep adding regions from that sound stream. Do not hit "New Group" as this will not be pulling the information. You do not have to make a completely new sound in your stream folder or new lines in the sound property file, just keep make new regions off of the right one.
